I've been using the Ultraceuticals Anti-oxidant SPF Suncreen on and off for a while now, and I have mixed reviews for it.
PROS:
- "Anti-oxidant" -- it feels good for my skin, even if it doesn't really do anything
- My oily/combo skin has not broken out from its use
- A light pleasant smell
- Yellow -- though I'm sure some people don't like the colour and would consider it a con!
- Pump-packaging (though they now come in tubes)
CONS:
- Consistency is a little thick, does not immediately 'sink' into skin
- Left a slight white cast
- Packaging is convenient but difficult to get the last bits out! (Nozzle sometimes clogs, too!)
Are EDS familiar with the brand? And do they consider stocking it in the future? I often group this brand with Skinceuticals, though I think it's purely because of the name!
Overall, I may try out some of their other products. This sunscreen has been a three-time re-purchase for me, though after this review I'm beginning to wonder if it should continue to be so... Anyone tried any good sunscreens recently? :P |

To prove my earlier post to you about our skins having similar tastes; I have this on over the Murad Pomegranate treatment today :P
I can't quite make up my mind about the Ultraceuticals though. I hate the fact that the cream solidifies in the pump and I get a lumpy solid bit in between my cream when I pump it out. I also find that it seems a bit sticky on me once I put it on. It's rather thick but I like the smell of it and I'm a sucker for anything that contains green tea (or anything that's supposedly a 'powerful antioxidant'). I have Shiseido Anessa (very VERY light textured SPF50 sunscreen) and I really like it yet I still alternate between that and the Ultraceuticals. I'm still on my first bottle though but everytime I stop using it I keep going back to it for some strange reason! Go figure!
But if you're looking to try other sunscreens then the Anessa is great as is Lancome UV expert and Kanebo. Dermalogica's Solar Booster is good too and I want to get some Dermalogica Ultra-sensitive Faceblock. It's got a sheer tint to it

I tried a sample of this sunscreen and loved it. Then i bought the full size and found it left a white cast on my face and was hard to rub in. Maybe I started to use too much of it when I got the full size, I don't know. But compared to other sunscreens I love that it contains antioxidants. |

I would be interested to hear about its antioxidants. I am trying to find a good product with a higher concentration of them (instead of the last 3 ingredients!) |
