I have combination skin and almost a perfect complexion. I rarely got pimple or acne. And no blackheads too. BUT...I am only refering to my face. Seems like all the pimple and acne found the place which they call home - my arms!!!! I cannot wear sleeveless cos of those ugly marks and red spot I have on both arms. Does anyone has the same problem like me?? |

Have you tried using (regularly) a good body scrub with glycolic acid in it? My MDF Face and Body Scrub can effectively get rid of the little bumps on the back of my thighs as long as I use it regularly. I really do think that the key in many cases is just good exfoliation. |

This is KP, Keratosis Pillaris. A glycolic acid cream or lotion works as well. Another is a combination of Salacylic/Glycolic Acid. The key to control is consistancy. Use daily until controlled. Then every other day after shower will keep it at bay. |

Have you tried body brushing? There was a recent discussion about this, I think in the EDS Lounge, and either Mabsy or Guapa Girl said that regularly use of a body brush helped completely get rid of the little red bumps that she used to get on the backs of her legs/thighs, so if it helped eliminate those bumps I don’t see why it wouldn’t help with the bumps on your arms.... Perform a search using “body brush” or “body brushing” and “Mabsy” and/or “GuapaGirl” as the key words and see what hits you receive.

I have the same problem and Amlactin lotion works GREAT!! The main ingredient is lactic acid. Drug stores carry it....and so does costco (for less $). |

yep those annoying body pimples are a pain in the ...
I used to get them on my arms/chest/back a lot, like A LOT
and the scars took maybe a year or so to fade.
Definitely try a deep scrub, and use it 2-3 times a week. It helped to get rid of all of the black spots left on my arms.
I use some ACV spray and light plant oils to moisturise and help with healing. |

I used to have keratosis pilaris - my entire life, actually. But last fall, I started using Retin-A on my arms and poof, they went away completely in less than a week. I'd tried lactic acid lotion, but it did nothing. Evidently for me, it just took a bit of trial and error.
Your dermatologist can help! Best of luck. |

i used to get pimples on my back and chest, i started taking Yasmin birth control pills and they are completely gone! I guess it had to do with hormones.
Also i hear tea tree oil is good. Khiel's has a tea tree oil body cleanser which helps to eliminate body zits |

I copied this from a site. Body Brushing really can help with bumps and blemishes on your skin. The nice thing...it is not expensive.
Simply Brush it AwayBody brushing is a good way to stimulate blood circulation. Because the skin is an organ of elimination (and the largest one in the body), many toxins can be eliminated if you stimulate the circulation and the lymph system by brushing the skin.
Use a loofah or a body sponge and brush in circular motions to remove the dead skin cells. Pay special attention to the elbows, knees, shoulders, the back and thighs. Do this every day before bathing or showering. Also, keep the temperature of your bath water a little higher that of your skin so as to stimulate sluggish circulation.
Smoother skin is a spin-off of this toxin-eliminating regimen, which leaves you feeling invigorated and truly bright-eyed.

I just found this at BeautyMagOnline. The article was about 'african american skin' but I ran across this and your issue popped into my head.
"... this is a deficiency of vitamin A if you notice follicular hyperkeratosis on the arms or legs. These are dry plugs of keratin surrounding the hairs that look as though they could be easily removed – but aren’t. So please make sure that your client is taking a healthy diet with sufficient natural vitamin A as found in fish oils, and animal livers. Treat the skin with mild doses of vitamin A."
Of course, I don't know exactly the cause of YOUR bumps, but this may help. |
