Can someone give me a recipe for vitamin C serum please? I would like to do my own at home.
Also, I would appreciate some recommendation for a good Vitamin C serum that you can buy in the store. |

VIVIER is the best C serum out there in my opinion. I especially like the Kine-C serum. Makes your skin glow from the first use and it only gets better!!! |

My favorite is from Cellular Skin Rx. Their C+ Firming serum is affordable and soaks right in without leaving any oily/sticky film behind. Other brands on the board that are mentioned all the time are Skinceuticals, Vivier, PSF, JB. Look at the shopping area of the site to see these. |

Vivier and Cellular Skin Rx are my two favs. They seem to have more "slip." My third fav is Skinceuticals CE&Ferulic....less slip, but provides excellent results!
The C serum you choose would depend on your skin type and preference. Because my skin is dry, I prefer a less watery, more emollient type of formula. |

I'm hearing forget trying to use Vitamin C aas a topical. Better to just take as supplement.
From Skin Bio:
There it states: "Adequate levels of both copper 2 and vitamin C are essential for wound contraction. You cannot get skin tightening without high levels of both copper 2 and vitamin C/ascorbic acid in your skin. Copper 2 is best supplied from SRCPs applied to the skin surface. Vitamin C levels in the skin are easily by increased by taking at least one gram daily as a supplement. It is difficult to get vitamin C through the skin except at a very low pH of about 2.5 (very acid)."

I am doing both just in case. But I make sure that I use both CP and Vitamin C 12 hours apart. |

My favorites so far are the Vivier 20%, also the Vivier KineC, and PSF 20%. The Cellex-C 17.5% serum was also good but I didn't like the texture for my skin (it was one of those watery serums). |

I use the Cellular Skin Rx C every morning. I use their Age Refinishing serum every other night. (I use Retin-A on the alternate night.)
I have read that to get the highest possible plasma level of C in your skin, it is necessary to take C internally (1 gram would not be nearly enough by the way) and to apply topically. Most C's are at acid pH so are able to work quite effectively.
The reason one gram won't help too much is because you excrete excess in your urine. You have to take the C constantly throughout the day to maintain the plasma level in your skin or else take a big honking time-release tablet! |

I like to make my own fresh everyday, I use it on my entire body, not just my face since it is so cheap |
