The cream has a dark orange-brown color and very little is needed. It's difficult to spread it evenly because it seems to be floating on rather than soaking into the skin or drying, especially if you're using a little too much cream. That's probably why it stains the bedclothes a lot even when applied hours before going to bed
I've found that if you exfoliate too well and moisturize first, all the color will disappear in your next shower. If you don't, it will actually leave a dark golden tan that's more even than the struggle with distribution indicated. I find it to dry out my skin a bit though.
And it smells. Not the worst, but the smell is clearly there.
So even if it is possible to get a pretty good result, I can't see any reason why Rodial costs twice as much as so many other good (better) tanners. |
