Wow! It is truly hard to believe that we're already mid-way through the month of September! The leaves are changing, kids are back in school, and ... the annual Terry Fox Run happens!
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the date which Terry Fox had to stop his courageous run across Canada. Every year, since his death in 1981, people around the World have been running in memory of him, raising money for Cancer research. With the Marathon of Hope, Terry Fox wished that all Canadians would donate $1 to his crusade to raise money. Sadly, he lost his own battle with Cancer before he could see his dream come to fruition. We haven't forgotten him, nor his dream. To date, the Terry Fox Run has raised over $250 Million Dollars, far surpassing Terry's wildest dreams! Let's take a moment this weekend, to reflect upon brave, selfless individuals who touch our lives and inspire us all. Thanks, Terry. Way-to-go! He is truly one of my heros.
