Everyone has an opinion, and not everyone agrees with others'. This has always been true of both religion & politics. They're simply not good topics of conversation. `Never have been, and never will be.
It seems that as of November, Forum members have become very interested in these subjects. Myself included. Though this Lounge was created for members to discuss whatever is desired, I think that it's truly a time to stop all political posts. This is an imflammatory subject, and despite whatever amount of sarcasm or humour intended, others may miscontrue it as hateful, hurtful, or anti-American. It's just not nice, ladies and gentlemen.
We all live in different parts of the world, and yes, views from outside of the U.S. can be very, very different. I agree. Borrowing the old saying, "If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I think we should remember this, before we say something that may unintentionally offend or hurt other members.
This is a skincare Forum. We like each other. Let's keep the peace, and avoid making judgements on the boards. If you wish to discuss amongst yourselves, this is what the U2U Message Boxes are for. Perhaps you can exchange personal e-mail or IM addresses.
I cannot be anymore clear about this, and will proceed to delete any future political discussion, if these are to arise on the Forum again. Repeat offenders, I will consider removing from the Forum altogether. |
