Is anyone using this, what have you noticed about it, and what are the best products out there?
Thanks! |

Wow. No one uses this? Has anyone tried it before and just didn't like it? |

This may sound like a silly question, but is this an estrogen cream? |

My understanding is that it is an all natural precursor to progesterone and used to balance estrogen dominance, as opposed to synthetic progestins or progesterones. |

Ok, so we are talking about the same thing. Just checking I have actually used one believe it or not. It was some crazy "get bigger boobs naturally" thing - didn't work Other than that I can't comment on what other effects it had or didn't have |

Thanks Mabs,
I have been trying one out this week. No big boobs *darn*, but have noticed my knee joints aren't sore as much when I sit cross legged. that is a condition I have everyday so this is unusual for me and I can't think of anything else that is doing it. |

Are you putting it on your knees or is that a bonus side effect? I've never heard of it so I'm looking it up now. |

No, not on my knees. It is usually in a cream form and is rubbed into neck, chest, belly, inner thighs. Skinactives sells it in solid form with a little info about it. I got mine at the local drugstore. It's by peaceful mountain. If you find anything more, please post it. |

Hi pnw
I just checked out the skinactives website, and they ship to the UK - yay! So - my question is, how easy is it really to make up some of these diy skincare recipes - some look kind of complex! Or is it just a case of getting organised and making sure you have everything you need to hand - kind of like baking a cake? I saw that they have lookalike recipes on there for some fab products, and so cheap. |

The flexicose sounds good, I'll be telling my mom about it. Actually, I had a thought that my BC pill may be inducing some kind of estrogen dominance situation that was causing me to age quicker. Since I've been on, my skin has gone downhill what feels like 10 years in only 3. I'm only 35 and I already have neck cords! 3 years ago (before marriage, ha ha) I was being mistaken for 26. So, I thought I'd try what older women do when they lose their youthful hormones and add wild yam to my routine. My knee does feel better as a side effect.
Fifi, if you want to know about DIY recipes you have definitely found the right forum. There are many knowledgeable members here and they are so much better at the DIY stuff than I am. So far I've only made a vitamin C serum and drooled over the possibilities of ingredients. The places where I get stuck in recipes is in percentages and ph. The mixing is easy and fun. Skinactives will answer your questions, too. They respond quickly. HTH |
