Thanks Mabsy! After reading the forum, I guess it would be wise that I don't go for the eyelash extension cuz I'm afraid of my real eyelashes falling off. Besides that, I think once you start doing the extension, you have to continue doing it once the extensions are starting to fall out, otherwise, it will look weird with partially long and short lashes. Anyway, thanks! |

I've had them done. At first it's fabulous. However, individual lashes fall off and can cause eye irritation. It also looks odd when one side has more lashes than the other or you have patches where your shorter lashes and the longer ones are mixed. In addition, it's pretty costly (depending where you live)and time consuming. Some tell you they can last for two months at a stretch, but that has not been the case with me. You'll need a fill in about every two weeks. I've also come to realize that no matter what they tell you they DO (in my case) cause eyelash damage. Eye lash extensions are similar to hair extensions in my opinion. Both will eventually casue damage and leave you more distraught then when you started. I'm now trying to correct the damage done with eyelash growth products and am thinking about looking into false lashes until I can get my lashes back. |

oh really I didn't know that. I thought there'll be minimal damage to your lashes. Sigh...I thought there's a natural way to lengthen and thickens your lashes but I guess I'm wrong. Anyone here had any good results then? |

I didn't know it either until just recently. I actually placed a call to the spa and requested that they remove the ones still left. I actually was able to remove quite a few by simply placing a warm wash cloth over my eyes.
Keep in mind that eye make-up and cleaning your face/eyes will lead to them falling off. If a person is prone to oily skin they also fall off a lot sooner. In my experience I noticed that some of my lashes came off with the extensions. Since I have light lashes I knew for a fact that they were my own lashes. Keep in mind that they actually GLUE a fake lash to one of your own. I'm not stating that all your lashes come off, but keep in mind that you may lose some of your own.
Before getting the extension done I asked a lot of questions about any possible damage that might occur to my own lashes. Of course, I was told that the extension did not damage your lashes. At $250.00 a set plus tip what could one expect them to say? By the end of the first week several had already simply fallen off. Possibly the glue wasn't strong enough or maybe my lashes were oily. Who knows. I lasted two months with the extensions with numerous fill ins and even a replacement set. In my opinion it's not worth it and ends up costing a lot of money. If I knew what I know now I would have not had them done. I'm actually getting sick thinking about the money I glued to my lashes. Hope this helps. |
