I wanted some new glosses that were hydrating so a friend recommended this. I was reluctant to try after all the nasty skincare products that clinique makes, but I did.

I actually like it. Gives a nice sheer colour and feels super nice on the lips. It does feel tackey if you touch your finger to your lips though. I recently got my hair cut quite short so can't comment on whether hair sticks to it, but I'm guessing probably.

Having dry flakey lips I really like this product as I can layer my lipstick and heavy glosses over it and it looks smooth. It also gives a nice glossy shine without any sparkle which is a nice change from my smashbox and mac products.

Have you tried the MAC tinted lip conditioners at all? If so then how does this compare? I really like the MAC ones (thank you Carrie! Smile).

These are two very different lip products. Both provide a hint of subtle color, however Clinique is much more thicker and glossier. Get's tacky and stuck in your hair, while the Mac is more flat and goes on more balmy like Chapstick.

I like the mac one too but it slips off really quick..the clinique has more staying power for me.

I'm one of those people that lipstick lasts all of 5-10 minutes, so maybe I just need the 'goo'

Thank you Skybaby and Lianne Smile This might be something I'll end up trying - can never have too many tinted lip balms.... Rolling Eyes

Yeah, that was my main gripe about the MAC TLC’s. That, plus the fact that unless I completely wiped off the previous layer, it would start to “ball” up on my lips when I applied more of it. This is the reason that I recently tried (and fell in love with) the Smashbox tinted Lip Treatments. They turned out to be exactly what I was hoping the MAC TLCs would be!

Anyway, when I was at my local Sephora a couple of weeks ago (trying to find the tinted Smashbox LTs, but they only had the clear version), I was so disappointed and distraught at not being able to try/buy the additional Smashbox colors and I didn’t want to leave the store empty-handed, I actually wandered past the Clinique display and eyeballed the SuperBalms a couple of times. Actually, I was checking out *all* of the tinted lip balm items that they had in the store because I didn’t want to walk out without having bought the one item that was on my shopping list! Anyway, I can’t remember any details about the SB. Does it come in a pot or stick form? How many shades does it come in?

For once in my life, I actually managed to suppress the urge to purchase a lip product that I really didn’t want or need, just because the item that I had been lemming wasn’t in stock. Instead, I spent $75 to treat myself to the “Anastasia of Beverly Hills” all-in-one eyebrow grooming kit. I was just going to buy a pair of Anastasia tweezers, her brow scissors and one of her brow highlighting pencils, but purchasing each of those items separately would have costed $23 more and the kit came with a brow powder *and* “pomade” (brow wax that turns to a powdery-finish after application) so it was a helluva great deal. I love the tweezers, scissors and highlighter pencil so much that I would gladly would have paid twice as much for each of these products!!

So anyway, to bring this story back around to the topic at hand, the next time I’m at Sephora again, perhaps I’ll try to scam a sample of the Clinique SB to try at home. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up liking it even better than my beloved Smashbox tinted balms!!
