Since I've become pregnant, I can't stop eating, at this rate I'll be too big to get off the couch by the 9th month At night I think about what I'm going to eat for breakfast, at breakfast I'm thinking about lunch, and now its a hour away from dinner and my stomach is growling...and damn those halloween treat size choclate bars! My new love is grocery shopping, its almost scary to go, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING looks good!
To make matters worse I can't exercise for too long, my uterus is pushing on my vena cava nerve which makes my leg go numb if I exercise or stand for long periods of time! What a bummer! So thats my vent, I'm kinda wishing I had the morning sickness instead
Donna-16 weeks pregnant! |

Moosette - you're describing me not pregnant!
Here's how I justify it. If I don't have a handful of bite-sized Snickers in the afternoon, I won't be able to think clearly, which would affect my job, and that would leave me penniless. Okay... that's a stretch.
How about the fact that eating several small meals a day is better for the metabolism? Halloween-sized candy is a "small" meal, no?
Uhm... oh heck with it. ENJOY! You'll be tending to a little one soon enough and that should keep you very busy.
And in the meantime, could you still do yoga even with your condition? Prenatal yoga is raved about... and from personal experience, I know that it does aid in metabolism (thankfully).

Ah yes, I remember those days.
I had to have BLT sandwiches every day for lunch. I looked forward to them with a rather scary longing!!!! Then, as I got further into my pregnancy, I HAD to have Wendy's hamburgers - not Mickey-D's, not Burger King - it HAD to be Wendy's.....My poor husband....by the 8th and 9th month it was Necco Wafers and Skittles....oh my God, my daughter must have been doing flips in my tummy!!!!!
Anywho.......63 naughty pounds later, she was born....I'm still working on ridding myself of baby weight. Hey, she's only 12 years old...these things take time.
Keep us posted, Donna!!! This is such a wonderful time for you.
I agree with LandB's Yoga suggestion. Heard wonderful things about it during pregnancy and beyond...

Hey Mariav, you are too funny ! I'm on a skittles kick right now, and teen burgers from A&W
That yoga sounds kinda interesting, maybe I'll pursue that this winter, it will keep me from going into hibernation! Thanks everyone for your help! |
