I have a scar on my leg that's turned brown.
I think there's a chemical called Hydroquinone (sp?) that does what I need.
Can anyone recommend a good product containing this ingredient?
Thanks. |

I get good results from Eldoquin Forte, which as 4% hydroquinone. There are also spot lighteners that don't contain hydroquinone, for those whose skin can't tolerate it (always good to do a spot/patch test)Estee Lauder Cyber White is ok, and is sans hydroquinone.
I find, however, that products with hydroquinone act much much faster.
PS: Eldoquin Forte is also way less expensive

Look at the ingredients in the skin lightening products at your local drug store or department stores. The key is chosing one with at least a 1% to 2% concentration of hydroquinone for effectiveness. Since you are treating your leg and not your face, a higher concentration is probably fine.
Reviva Labs has a lightening product which is under $10 and can usually be found at the Vitamin Shoppe if you have one of those stores near you. Good Luck! |

Vitamin C helps very much with hyperpigmentation. Regular sunscreen use is imperative, too. |
