I love how they look on me but here is my problem and I am not sure if there is anything I can do about it but thought I would inlist you all's help!!
I put it on and it looks great... I put the lighter shade all over my eyelid and then take the darker color for the crease area and then line it on the bottom of the top lid... sort of like a sideways V ( < ) okay... it looks great right?
As the day goes on.. the darker color collects in a fine line in the middle of my eyelid... still in the crease but you can tell its collecting there in the center so it looks not so good... and I dont like to have to keep redoing the crease to keep it looking nice.
Any tips to make your eyeshadow stay put??
I would appreciate any help you all can lend me.

This always happens to me when I wear eyeshadow (not BE, just any). I have quite oily skin and I guess oily lids too. I tried using a lid primer which is meant to make your makeup stay on but it just meant more gunk on my lids and more oil! I'm also quite interested if anyone has a suggestion... |

I am not a fan of the extra layer of 'gunk' either . Anyway I've found that a light dusting of a cornstarch based powder on your lids before applying shadow (or mineral foundation!) helps prevent the settling and moving about and stops the colour 'breaking up' and going patchy. I'm not sure but I think it works by absorbing the excess sebum shich is what reacts and mixes with the powder to make it shift.
Anyway I like Jurlique Silk dust best as its fine, natural and doesn't cause a reaction around the sensitive eye area.
A light dusting over the top adds a transparent 'seal' over the top too - not tried this on very dark/ vibrant colours but can't see it wouldn't work.?
Might be worth a try? Works for me at any rate!
By the way I'm prone to dehydration around my eyes and this doesn't seem to dry the area out either.

That sounds like a good idea!
Would BE Mineral Veil work for this? Anyone had experience with it?
I noticed it mentioned in a few other posts as a good oil combatting tool. I'll try tack down Jurlique Rose dust but it's gonna be darn hard in New Zealand where I've never even heard of the brand before |

Thank you for the tips!!! I want to buy some more colors but have been a little reluctant on doing it ... I think I will give it another shot using some of the ideas posted.
Thanks!!

I shoudl think mineral veil might work, but a cornstarch based powder would be better - Youngbloods finishing powder is cornstarch based, and Jurlique (sold on here on EDS and onwww.jurlique.com -there does seem to be a NZ distributor) have worked well for me! |

Urban Decay Primer Potion, period! I have oily eyelids and I've tried all of the so-called primers that promise to keep my eyeshadow from fading, creasing or sliding off and the only one that actually works is UDPP. I can't rave about it enough! I think I even wrote a product review about it a while back...if not, I *should* have! At around $15USD, the price seems pretty steep, but when you consider how much of spent on eye shadows in the past that were rendered completely useless by my over-active oil glands, UDPP is now a complete bargain in my eyes because it means that I'm finally able to wear all of the eye shadows that I've bought over the years!!! |

I think the Mineral Veil is cornstarch based. The first ingredient is Mays Starch. I thought that was cornstarch, but don't know for sure. |

I agree with the Urban Decay Primer Potion, also Mac Paints make good eye shadow bases.
I am not a big fan of the Bare Escentials eye shadows that I've tried, I just found they did not go on very well and within minutes they gathered at the crease the disapeared. |
