My best friend lives in London and his birthday is coming up soon. I want to get him a gift certificate for a massage but obviously have no idea what places are good. Any recommendations at all for a fab massage place in or around central London? I guess ones that have a website to get gift vouchers on would be ideal as well but I'm not sure how realistic that is.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions |

Elemis have a day spa and offer lots of different treatments. Not very cheap though.
Also, there is a place called K Spa which is part of the K West hotel in London. My sister-in-law had her hen weekend there. Some of the hens had treatments at the spa. I didn't hear any complaints afterwards. They do offer gift vouchers.
There are some Aveda treatments including massage available here.
ETA: Just found this place while browsing...The Refinery it caters for men only and so may be more suitable for your friend. Some spas can be a bit girly. |

I can recommend "Relax" in Soho [Brewer St] which is a 2 minute walk from Picadilly Circus, and about 5 minutes from Oxford Circus so is very central. I've used the place regularly as I live just opposite so it has proved very convenient for me and I have never been disappointed. They offer a full range of massage and other therapies and are equally welcoming of men and women. Check out their website at:

Fresh and Wild, the organic supermarket/cafe is right next door and is a great place to get a meal or drink. |

Thank you so much! I kept coming up with escort services when I was searching
The Jurlique sounds lovely but I'm worried that it'll be too girly. It's a place that I'd like to check out though!
Relax and The Refinery sound more "manly" Actually, that Refinery place is looking pretty good just because it seems really funky and it's men-only. Plus it seems to be quite easy to order gift vouchers off there. I guess it'll be tough asking about opinions of it here being a men-only place and in a specific city too... Seems to get a lot of publicity though.
Now I only wish that I was actually earning pounds - I'm sure 73 pounds is normal for a massage in the UK (and you'd pay about Au$72 for a massage in Australia) but sadly one pound is about Au$2.5! Ouch! Well he's worth it anyway so shall be getting him one unless I come up with another brilliant idea...
Thank you heaps for your help! |

Not the ones I came across he wouldn't!
Thank you all for your suggestions - I actually ended up going with another "men only" grooming place that was suggested by a friend of a friend (the name of the salon I can't recall right now). I'll post back once I get some feedback.... |
