| Hi! Does anyone have a suggestion for a moisturizer (with actives) for aging skin that is also VERY acne prone (I get the cystic type). My skin gets flaky/dry and I'm getting older and need something! Help! |

| I used to be prone to cystic acne, but not so much since switching to OCM a couple of years ago. I started using Babor's Complex C Cream about 6 weeks ago and I love it! My skin was also dry and flaky. I put a little of this on every other night (alternating with OTC retinol cream), it absorbs really well and my skin is great in the morning. I highly recommend the Babor Complex C, and it's sold at EDS. |

| I suggest you use Obagi Action and Obagi healthy skin 35 during the day. If you want, you should try the entire system which is available at EDS, it cost a couple hundred dollars but the kit last me about a year. |

| use moisturizer in lotion form it doesn't clog pore. LRP tolorient fluid is the best one. |

Another suggestion (I didn't recommend it at first because I don't have mature skin) is the body cream as well as the moisturizing balm from 100% pure. It just says "body cream" but I use this on my face. Both these products have 15% vitamin E and 15% oil soluble vitamin C. Oil soluble is more stable and effective and yet less irritating than water soluble vitamin C.
I'm saying both products because the body cream is super light so I layer it with some of the moisturizing balm on the drier areas. Not everyone's gonna love the texture of the balm but I do! It's super hydrating and it doesn't break me out at all. |

| Hi Charis- well I jumped on the Karin Herzog bandwagon looking for answers to similar problems. I have only been using it for about 12 days- but my acne on the chin was completely cleared up in three days and my skin has remained clear, and not a bit dry where I have those issues. At the moment I am sold on this line- you can check out the thread for reviews from others who have used the line much longer... |

I love emu oil  Even for people who tend to break out, some have found it works great for them. There are a lot of threads here on EDS about emu for you to explore. Emu also helps push actives into your skin if you put it on after actives.
For me, while it moisturizes, emu oil seems to clear up any potential coming to surface breakouts. I think that's because the makeup of emu oil is similar to human oil and it absorbs well. There are many places that sell emu oil and different types (processed/triple refined to unprocessed/unrefined), including the Dr. Emu that EDS carries.
I like the cream products of Laid in Montana,www.laidinmt.com and prefer using emu in an already prepared blend.

Something with niacinamide will help with the acne and antiaging issues, NIA24 is good as a healing treatment to strengthen the skin, although some can get away with continued use.
If you are experiencing dryness and flaking, look for a good water based moisturising product that helps to rehydrate the skin. I can recommend the Kose Moisture Skin Repair and Beaute de Kose Moisture Engage Serum, or the Cosme Decorte Liposome lotion.
If you treat the skin with products that help alleviate and eventually end your current skin issues, that will help slow down the aging process a lot. Avoid harsh actives that upset the skin barrier. |

| Oh I forgot to say that you should try some vit C serum as well as it works wonders but I am looking for another brand of vit c other than skinceuticals myself. |
