Okay so I decided to listen to someone on here who said physicians formula mineral makeup works for a lot of people, and the fact that it had a label saying "for acne prone" which most of the mineral makeups don't. Is there anyone who has tried this makeup, and what do you think of it? I bought it today, and am hoping to have finally found something that works. I bought the mineral makeup and the concealer Any recommendations would be great.

I'd bought this last year I think it was ... unfortunately this was the only MMU foundation that caused an allergic reaction to me. I remember liking the finish and was very pleased with how it looked on my face, but by mid morning that day, my face felt a bit itchy and when I looked in the mirror I had red blotches all over it. I ended up having to rub it all off. I'm not sure which ingredient might have been the one that affected me.

However, I do know that I've read others have really liked it, so I'm hoping you'll have success! Smile

I'm sorry to hear. I typically only have problems with my skin breaking out and getting the cysts under my skin, which is horrible. Thanks for the info though

Hi Apryl,

I myself am very (I mean very) new to MMU, so I don't have much of experience or anything to compare PF MMU to, but here is my experience.

I stopped using make-up (anything except for mascara and some gloss) years ago due to my acne-prone skin. Everything would break me up, so I just surrendered to my fate of blemished skin with no makeup Sad.

Then, approximately a month ago I started using pearl paste (btw, this stuff is FABULOUS for acne prone skin) and decided to give MMU a try. I thought, I'd try PF as it was readily available and it was cheap. First I bought translucent powder that worked OK, but did not provide much coverage. But it was OK to get me used to using MMU. Then I bought Creamy Beige powder, a bronzer and a concealer. I've been using this trio for good 3 weeks now and I love it!!

Pearl paste has done a great job of eliminating my hormonal breakouts, and PF MMU is doing a great job of covering my blemishes and evening out my complexion. The coverage is not 100%, but my skin looks so much better with that make up on. And this has not had any adverse reactions on my skin.

To be honest, I am looking into some higher end MMU and will be likely testing other brands in a near future. But for now (and as my first introduction to MMU) - this is great and i quite like it.

Pearl Paste? I'm going to have to look that up. It's good to hear from someone who obviously has some horrible acne experience like myself.

I had this one before. But I bought a wrong shade for myself, a bit darker than I like. I have combination skin prone to hormonal breakout in T zone. But this compressed powder has never caused any breakout. The best thing I like about this brand is its packaging design with built in brush and mirror, great for on-the-go touch up.

You can get pearl paste/cream from www.silkenpearl.com or www.ifeelprettyproducts.com.

I'm using Suncat Natural MMU right now and am loving it. I also recommend Alima if you want a straight flat matte look..

The Physician's Formula pressed powder mineral makeup made me ITCH! Confused I wanted to claw my face off!

The loose powder worked great for me. You can build coverage pretty easily. I'm really fair and I used translucent light, and it all came together pretty believably. The only things I didn't like about it were the brush = not soft enough for true spoiling, and the coverage seemed to wear down as the day went by. I felt like I wasn't wearing makeup anymore by the time I got home from work.

Never broke me out or anything like that, though. Smile

Rubby, I'm very interested in the pearl paste. Can u tell me a bit more about this product and where u get it from? I have sensitive mild Rosacea, can I still use it? What changes do u see in your acne? What about blackheads and pores? I heard pearl is toxic to your body so is it safe to use? Sorry for the questions but really appreciate it if u can answer them for me. Thank you so much! Smile
