What brushes would you recommend for applying mineral makeup? I've just got me a few samples of a NZ brand of MMU (have never tried MMU before) and the brush supplied is scratchy and falls apart all over my face. I'd rather not have to pick off black bristles all morning long. It's not a lot of fun! Laughing

The Jane Iredale Handi, this is my HG make-up brush and can be used both as a powder and blusher brush plus the bristles are so soft its like velvet next to your skin.
I have had mine for about 6 months now and it has not shed at all and is still like new.

Sounds good! Do you find the bristles fall out much?
Is the "bristles falling out" a new brush thing that maybe dies down after a few uses?

Without doubt a vote for the Jane Iredale Handi from me as well. Love this brush!

I think brushes can shed a little bit on the beggining (a few bristles, not lots Smile) but generally after that they shouldn't. My JI Handi loses bristles very rarely...

Yes mine has probably only lost about 4/5 in all the time I have had it which is amazing considering how it gets knocked about a lot in my make-up bag.

gosh that's amazing that it hardly sheds! I went out yesterday and bought the BE kabuki brush cos I had read good things about it and it was the easiest one for me to get. Used it this morning and it shed quite a lot.

Not sure if I am liking this mineral makeup thing, I put it on (after reading the tutorial that is linked to in another thread) then put on my glasses and realised it looked terrible! lol. My chin and nose had already started sweating it off and it was all patchy and ick. My cheeks look good though! Laughing
