This base does cover a bit of the redness on my face, I should say reduce or even out the redness, not exactly cover it completely. But it doesn't seem to make my pores smaller or my foundation to last any longer. Does anyone try this brand before? Is it just me or this makeup base is not designed to control oil on your skin? Thanks |

Hi Stardustdy,
I tried Makeup Forever Color Correcting Makeup Base, I didn't make my pores smaller. I think it even made them more noticeable . I have never found the make-up that will diminished the size of my pores ( does such product exists ). The foundation didn't last long (may be 5 hours).
I usually use just Chanel powder, but it doesn't cover the redness of the skin. I think my pores looks less visible with Chanel powder then with any other foundation products. |

Stardusty, I'm aware of MUA Choice, but have not used the color corrector item. There is a product I've had success with for ruddiness and its sitting in your own backyard!
Its Physicians Formula Multi Colored Corrector powder in green. A couple of good swipes on my cheeks, chin and forehead neutralizes the red really well! So well, that I don't have to used another powder over that. And your face doesn't look green either which was what I was afraid of. Try it! You'll love it. I got mine at Superstore for about $18. As for the MUAC product, hope you send it back. |

Thanks a lot Susie Q! I'll definitely give it a try. So how long is the staying power? Does it cover the redness totally or just even it out? Do you have to reapply the powder quite often after a few hrs? Thanks! |

It just evens your complexion out and I never have to reapply throughout the day, only because I don't like a totally matte face. You could though. Good luck Stardusty! |
