I am talking about mirrors and lighting.
I am at home and i look in my mirror and my skin doesnt look that bad (compared to other mirrors). But when i went to go get more contact's today for my eyes, i looked in the mirror and it looked horrible! Was it the lighting or was it the mirror?
This confuses and upsets me at the same time :[ |

It's definitely the lighting. My bathroom is one of my favorite places to look at my skin and outside in the sun is the absolute worst. The sun makes the few wrinkles I have really stand out and I HATE that. Other lighting that casts somewhat of a down light also increase the appearance of my lines. The same is pretty much true with other problem areas such as blemishes, broken caps, etc. |

I know the feeling!!! There is nothing worse than when you get all dressed up for a meal out and need to use the rest room when you are out....and it's that awful clinical neon lighting. |

Omigod, I thought it was just me. Everytime I leave home, I thought I look ok in my bathroom mirror. But I look at myself in places like my office's washroom or even the mall, I look bad. It must be the lighting in the washrooms. |

flourescent lighting makes everyonelook like a cadaver no matter how great your skin is or isn't....
Candlelight makes everyone look great, so turn off the lights and light a few candles |

The flourescents not only make my skin look horrid, but can make me cranky. I have a rather large window in my office at work that faces west. (Nice natural light, but not direct sun.) So, I'll often work in my office by way of natural lighting. The only problem with this is the days when it's rainy, or extremely cloudy, or when I'm at the office early in the morning or later in the evenings.....then I need to turn on the flourescents. I may have to go shopping for a good lamp or two and use the soft light bulbs! |

Most public bathrooms are the worst! I'm talking about ones in office buildings -- no one looks nice in the women's restroom on our floor -- and at train stations and airports.
Some of the mostupscale restaurants I've been to supply candles close to the mirrors, so it's always mood lighting! |

I especially love the cellulite that appears on my thighs in flourescent-lighted dressing rooms that does not show in the daylight or in my bedroom mirror.
Do these stores want to sell clothes or what?
I never shop for a bathing suit without having a martini first. No way. |

I'm just imagining the sort of weird stuff I'd end up buying after a martini or two! |

Any Seinfeld fans here? If so you'd know lighting definitely does make a huge difference. |
