well, since i have no self control, what-so-ever, i popped that huge pimple on my chin, even after all of you gave me your great advice. not all of the pus is out because i can still feel a lot of pressure underneath and around the teeny tiny scab left behind from where the pimple opened up. (btw, am i breaking my skin and creating tiny scars for myself if i pop pimples?) so anyway, where do i go from here? i'm trying to make it go away by friday, but if i can reduce the size or the redness, either one would be great.
p.s. -- what is the concensus on this little metal blackhead tools? they kind of hurt and leave some nasty, red indentations that haven't faded since last night. okay so basically i went nuts on my face last night. i do that a lot and it really screws me over. woo-hoo! |

for redness you can try visine. you'll have to reapply often though.
I'b be putting neosporin on the scab to help it heal faster and prevent infection |

This works for me.
Before bed, apply the aspirin mask just to the area and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse. Apply an on-the-spot blemish cream with salicylic acid over night. Should be bearable by morning. Do it again tomorrow night if necessary. My intent here would be to create a gentle sloughing-off effect. You might still have some redness that can be concealed but it should be smaller and flatter.
And for the love of all that is good, never pop again. Scarring, scarring, scarring. |
