I am going to Vegas for my 30th b-day January 1-4
Any ideas where to shop for the best deals? Will there be after Christmas sales at that time?
Thanks! |

Fun! My birthday is January 10th...I wish I was going to Vegas. Where are you staying? I've been a few times but we never really shop since there is just so much to see. We end up walking all day between the hotels and wear ourselves out. Have a wonderful time! |

ok..when I was in vegas the shopping on the strip was no deal for canadians. I did find an outlet mall down past mandalay bay. It's sort of accross from a best buy (or some other large electronics dealer). We had a car when we were there...and I don't remember it being too far of a drive, but long enough that you wouldn't want to walk. plus there's nothing along the way to look at, aside from the welcome to vegas sign that we're all familiar with.
I heard there's another outlet mall that's way better but I was only there for a couple nights and never found it.
I do recommend walking down the strip in front of the luxor and mandalay bay hotels. They've got some great sculptures and fountains. It's really pretty and SOOO many people miss it because they take the tram. |

We are staying at the MGM Grand, a step up from the last time we went and stayed at Imperial Palace...I think anyway
I have been to the shops inside Caesar's Palace but I found it intimidating as they were all very high-end and EXPENSIVE Hoping to hear from some native Las Vegasers about where the deals are found Definetly have to go to Sephora....but I am really scared about how much I might spend there |

My in laws go to Las Vegas every year and the last time I went was about 4 years ago, here are some great cosmetic finds:
There is
*Omni Chemists in Fashion Show Mall, here you can get Burt's Bees, Dermalogica, Jane Iredale, Dr Hauschka and lots of other nice skincare.
*The MAC shop
*L'Occitane
*Woods of Windsor
*Ceasar's Palace skincare and perfume (novelty items)
*Simply Divine Botanicals, here you can get Jane Iredale and great skincare, the Gypsy Rose Tea Toner is an Apple Cider Vinegar Concoction:

click online store to see all the products.
Oh and just outside the MGM is Fat Burgers where they make all the burgers from scratch using fresh gound up mince and the chips are big thick wedges, I swear you will never eat another McDonalds ever again after eating here, and you can sit and watch the strip go by while you eat.
This is all I can think of off the top of my head just now. |

If you find the fat tuesdays stand get yourself a nice alcoholic slushy! There's also a great sandwich shop across from it that I went to many times (bf was there on work so i ate alone) |
