Hi, Has anyone tried the retinolique forteII by PTR?? I am looking for an oil free retinol product to help fade away my mild acne blemishes.Already using a vitamin C serum as well as MD formulations vitamin A plus skin clearingcomplex to battle my post acne scars.Has anyone had success with the above product?
P.S. combination skin, prone to breakouts, fair skin |

Hello shal2tango,
I haven't used PTR's retinolique forteII yet but I use Skinceutical's Retinol 0.5 and it is really nice. I am not sure if its oil-free but it is definately very light lotion. I am also using MD formulation Illuminating Serum and I found it work better when I use both products on my acne scars. However, don't expect miracle in one night. It takes a while to fade anything. |

I see your skin is fair...is it also sensitive?
Retinols can be too harsh on sensitive skin. My skin turned red and peeled like crazy when I used it too often.
A glycolic product might be worth looking into. I like PTR hydrating glycolic gel. They also have the clarifying gel that has salicylic acid in it which will help zap the zits.
I find glycolics much friendlier on my skin |

Hi.Yes I do have sensitive skin but not ultra sensitive.I am already using MD forte Glycolic face wash as well as Vitamin C serum during morning.Ok, I went ahead and purchased PTR retinolique forte and have been advised to use it alternate nights for the first two weeks till skin gets used to it.Its oil free, water based, and must say Im very impressed with this product. Woke up with a radiant skin next morning and did notice a difference in my blemishes too albeit subtle. Will let you know how its working on my blemishes.Wish me luck ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |
