Two nights ago I slept in a (very) thin layer of Dermalogica's MVPRM, and woke up with smooth, radiant skin. Last night I did it again and woke up with really smooth, radiant skin! With OCM I don't wake up with an oil-slick on my face anymore, but sleeping with this mask on makes my nose a little oily the next morning, which I don't really mind though because overall my skin is hydrated, feels smooth and looks bright and radiant.

I got this idea of sleeping with a mask on from here, as some of you do it with DMVPRM or Jurlique or some other mask, and got great results. Now I'm wondering if it's a case of too much of a good thing if I do this every night. hmm

What do you think? TIA!

Tell you what - think I'll stick with this for a while. Last night was the third time in a row I'm doing this, and coupled with OCM, ACV and vit C serum my skin has never been smoother or even-ner!

I think it does a better hydarting job than a regular moisturiser - certainly better than my Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream.

Thanks for reading!

i sort of thought about the moisturising mask on face topic too Laughing

I have a tube of Sisley express flower gel, which meant to be an SOS treatment/pick-me-up mask and also said can be used in place of moisturiser. I left it on overnight a few times last week and seriously I noticed no difference Confused My heart aches at the price of sisley and especially if it doesn't work.. Neutral

ohh..p.s. i bought dermalogica masque too! will try it soon Bad Grin

Multi Vitamin Power Recovery masque... it's an orange colour creamy mask that can be used thicker and rinsed off ...or as pumpinmummy said overnight as an overnight treatment. It's not a clay based one, doesn't "dry" as such and so it is versatile in that way... but does leave your face a bit odd coloured! Smile

What a good idea, I have a sample of this lying around, I always think it is such a waste rinsing it off Laughing I always leave the Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating mask on overnight and have lovely skin in the morning as a result.
Really need to find cheaper alternatives to MVPRM and Dr H RJ Rolling Eyes Any recomendations?

What's OCM??

Can any of you recommend a nice moisturizing mask other than the ones listed on this thread? ( I already own one of them). Many thanks and thanks for the tidbit about leaving a mask on overnight. Smile

OCM stands for oil cleansing method. If you do a search you will find a bunch of people who have benefited greatly with this, including myself. It cured my acne in 3 weeks Very Happy

Yes Pumpingmummy I do this all the time!! What a difference to the skin! Skin really needs moisture folks. Do what you can to find it. I currently use Elizabeth Grant's Moisture Mask for the face and the eyes overnight and Paula's Choice Hydrating Mask is very good too!

I want to try this, but what's a good moisturizing mask to use? I only have masks with things like kaolin clay in it for my oily skin, but I figure it would be too drying to use overnight.

Hi SusieQ, is the Elizabeth Grant Moisture mask the one in the lovely gold deluxe jar, like other things in the Torricelumn Pur range?

We have recently started having Elizabeth Grant on our Australian shopping channel (since August) and Betty Leigh was out here last week doing shows and one of the kits ( which I am now eagerly awaiting for delivery) I purchased had that one in it. There was another mask set, a Trio of Apricot scrub, honey mask and cucumber mask ....but they were in plain looking white jars.

Just curious! Always nice to see different uses for things isnt it? Smile

Muzzie, you're in luck. The mask which I spoke about is in the lovely gold deluxe jar. The pur torricelumn line (in gold jars) is Elizabeth Grant's top of the line. The trio of masks are very good too, although I think you'll end up loving the pur torricelum mask much better. You'll see what I mean when you get them. I love these products! Betty Jean does a good job as spokesperson for Elizabeth Grant.

Hi SusieQ, Ooh thank you for that! Now I am excited! I expect they will arrive tomorrow actually and can't wait to try it.
I have been using the Cleanser, Toner, Intensive Hydration Boost day cream, Complex 9 at night and the AM and PM serums...and have been pleased as punch with them so far! ( those are all the Torricelumn Pur gold bottled ones)
Have you tried Line Erase? That looks good too. You wouldnt think she was 63 either by the way!
Thanks for your info! Smile

I wouldn't sleep in a clay mask if I were you, it would be too drying. I would leave it on for an hour, but I certainly wouldn't sleep in it.

My fav moisturising mask is the Thalgo Moisture Quenching Mask and I always leave that one on overnight. I absolutely love it! Very Happy

Just recently got the Dr H Rejuvenating one but haven't left it on overnight yet. Will try it out.

Well it's been a week of sleeping in my MVPRM every single night, I must say the verdict is: until I break out or develop adverse reactions (which I doubt will happen, or it would have happened already) I'm going to keep using MVPRM as my night cream!

My sister comments that my skin is very smooth (I make her scrutinise my skin in every light from every angle every two days Bad Grin ) and my giant pores have significantly reduced in size and are very clean - my skin used to be bumpy and congested. Old acne marks have faded significantly, too, so that overall my complexion is even. I don't have wrinkles but I do have fine lines beginning to form around my mouth (the smile lines - I laugh too much, I think) and under my eyes (in the inner corners, from squinting too much). These lines haven't disappeared completely, but I have noticed some lessening of depth.

Another major thing I noticed is improved firmness, which I didn't get with OCM and ACV alone. Very Happy

I will continue with this and post updates next week.

P/S
1. for those of you who want to try this, the MVPRM is applied very thinly, so that everything is absorbed and I don't dirty my pillows.
2. I've only been using MVPRM, so I wouldn't know how it would turn out with other masks.

That sounds awesome. Do you have the ingredient list of that mask?

Also, I said that I only have clay masks, but I know not to sleep in it! Besides the fact that it'll leech all the oil and more off my face, I would probably wake up with bits of the masks all over my pillow! Laughing

I'll have to get back to you on that tomorrow, sernx, I don't have the box with me right now.

Glad you know better than to sleep with a clay mask on! True story: when yours truly was in her teens she was so Rolling Eyes smart she thought a clay mask overnight would suck out all the oil on her face and make it matte in the morning. As it turned out the mask did suck out all the oil so that her face felt so tight and dry, but amazingly even more shiny than it began with. Brick wall

Did anyone try the Biotherm Hydra Detox mask? It's suppose to detox and moisturize at the same time and you can leave it on overnight.

Good day Muzzie, sorry it took a while to reply on EG. I had forgotten what thread this conversation was at.

I haven't tried the Line Erase; actually I don't think its necessary (for me). She has so much product that after awhile you start to weed out whats not needed. Now, all I use is the cleanser, am/pm & eye serum and sometimes if the deal is good here, I'll use the pur essence serum. The creams I find a bit tacky, over the serums. I think either the serums as stand alone OR the creams on their own is sufficient.
