If anyone is still intrigued by this line, here are my thoughts-what, you're surprised I actually went for it-puleeeese!!!
I ordered the kit & put aside my Is Clinical to see the difference.
The cleanser is wonderful. At first, I was unsure since I felt like I was putting a moisturizer on my face, but it cleans really well (including eye make-up) and left my skin plump & moist but not greasy. I do have oily skin-not the oil-well I used to have, but I still treat it like an oily skin. The price is quasi-reasonable at $18. What isn't reasonable is the amount-3.4 ounces. Dosen't last a month. Back to Jan Marini c-esta, I don't get the soft, plush feeling but at least I get about 6 ounces & lasts about 6 months. Keep in mind I have to pay 24$ shipping from Bendels and then face the highway robbers (customs) guys.
The best thing in this line is the microdermabrasion. Love it. I can use it daily. It's gentle but very effective-I like the step 2 which is a soothing, watery moisturizer you put on afterward. It's so gentle I can put on active serum & firming cream right away. However, I do have unsensitive skin.
The glycolic peel is great-this is the first time I used a product like this. It's very strong but very effective. Pricey. I may try Oil of Olay's regenerist version to compare.
The serum-oh, the serum..I first I thought-silicone city, but it does absorb easily once you massage it in and leaves my skin plump, firm and confortable all day. Again-the stuff won't last a month at 2X a day. I'm not sure how well this would work in the summer.
The eye cream is nothing to write home about, I like my eye creams rich-PSF hydrating eye cream is the best I've tried so far. The sunblock that's included in slightly greasy. I love the skin brightening sunscreen but..contains parsol etc. and isn't a stable sunscreen so I wouldn't re=purchase. The nightime moisturizer is wonderful- very soothing-still got plenty left from the kit-this last quite a while. However, because it's hard to get, I'll stick with either the Is Clinical moist. or Jan Marini transf. serum (which at least has plently of great ingredients).
Bottom line, my skin looked supple & firm while using this line. The prices may look reasonable, but the amount you get isn't. For those who live in the states....enjoy...
Two day ago I went back to Is Clinical active serum & firming cream at night. I woke up to tight, clear skin but not as soft as Wexler's. So the next night, I added my Is clinical Moist. sample-that was all that was missing.
Forgot to mention, I tried a sample of the wrinkle serum & it worked very well. So, the products I would reorder that complement my Is Clinical would be the microdermabrasion kit, the cleanser (maybe since I'm ordering) and the wrinkle serum. The peel is good but not necessary between using the dermabrasion & the active serum-probably overkill.
God I tend to ramble on..... |

Hi Marina -
I'm with you on the microderm. cream in the Wexler line. I thought it was the best in the kit. Nice soft scent and gentle to use every day. I like the cleanser too - but you're right - doesn't last long - but it didn't strip my skin and it did leave it moist. THe night-cream is nice too.
PSF eyecream is still my favorite as well - however I'm jonesing to try their new eyecream too......sigh....it doesn't end does it!
Maria
P.S. I love the IS CLinical Line as well - love the ProHeal. May order the PolyVitamin serum when funds allow too. |
