What can I use to exfoliate without any rubbing or scrubbing action? my skin's going crazy right now and i already have dry, sensitive skin so i have to be really careful. i want to take off dead layers and also soften three scabs that are on my face. this way, when i put on moisturizer (or maybe even a heavy duty mask) everything will soak in and not have to work through dead layers of skin.
can i do this with cetaphil? doesn't it help to exfoliate if i leave on a thin layer?
any other products or homemade remedies?
also, any suggestions on what i should use to moisturize? i have this pretty good mask that aveda makes and i also have Kiss my face lotion which is great. and palmer's cocoa butter i have.
THANKS! hope everyone's weekend is wonderful! |

Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream is a fantastic exfoliater without any scrubby particles, it's very gentle.
Alternatively you can make the homemade version, the recipe is here on this thread:

Definitely Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream!! I've tried leaving it on for a few minutes and haven't noticed a difference. I just do the rolling motion for a few minutes -- seems if I can get myself to do it for a full 5 minutes the results are the best. Good luck!! |

Even though I love Dr. HCC, I need to mention about Jurlique's Face Wash Cream. IMO, it works just as well as Dr. HCC but gentler. I really love it. |

The alba botanicals papaya enzyme mask is great for dissolving dead skin without any physical rubbing needed. Any enzyme mask will do this - bromain - the ingredient in pineapple, pumpkin and papaya "eats" up the dead skin and leaves your skin nice and smooth but does it gently. |
