Last night at CVS I noticed that CVS has a generic version of Jergen's Natural Glow on the shelf.
Has anyone tried this yet? |

I'd love to hear some responses to your post. I tried the Jergens and loved the glow it created but hated the smell. I could smell it on me all day and felt like a toxic waste plant. Wonder how the generic smells? |

My guess is that it probably smells the same as the original. I'm going to have to pick up a tube of this store-brand next time I'm at CVS to pick up more Ardell.
LandB - did you ever try the suggestion to add a couple drops of some type of perfume oil or other essential oil to the Natural Glow to disguise the 'fake bake' scent? I think it was Darren (pbsadhaka) that came up with that one.... |

Good idea! I didn't realize that the Natural Glow was a sort-of fake tanner when I bought it... I thought it just had extra sheen or flecks of sparkle or something. I haven't had the same odor issues with self-tanners since I switched to Neutrogena, which has a faint odor that disappears shortly after applying. This Natural Glow was outrageous... like the self-tanners that first came out years ago. I'll try adding a perfume oil, but pee-ewe-ey... was the Natural Glow STRONG! |
