I was thinking about purchasing this but then saw it contains Peanut oil and Hazelnut oil.
I have a mild nut allergy that worsens when I'm relaxed (strange I know), would the lotus oil effect me as I know I would be absorbing the product into my body. |

Both Decleor's Ylang Ylang and Neroli Oil contain Hazelnut oil. If you were ok with those two, maybe you would be fine with Clarins Lotus Oil. But, rosebud, how come you don't use carekate's recipt for a homemade version without any "nuts". |

I love the smell of the Decleor Neroli.
I did have a go at making my own, for some reason I have a strong aversion to the scent of Ylang Ylang and Neroli essential oil smells nothing like the Decleor.
When I think about it I do make up my own, I am forever adding a few drops of Lavender or Frankensence essential oil to Jojoba or grapeseed.
Argh you caught me trying to spend money and be consumerist
I think I will go and dig out a 'posh' glass pump bottle and make my own
Wild Cat you are a good example.....my other half would approve |

Haha rosebud,
I actually made my first patch of Ylang Ylang Oil using modified carekate version. It smells pretty nice...(btw, I was never a big fan of Ylang Ylang pure essential oil)...Now, even my other half is loving using it too. |

Hi Rosebud, I have a lots of allergies to a different things. You have to be very carefull with nut allergies!!! Some people (like yours truly ) developing allergies to the product or food after many years using it. That is what happened to me! I never had allergies to peanuts until last month. The accumulation of the product in your body may cause the allergic reaction. It is sad, but if you know you have allergies to those nuts, don't take it Unless your allergologist tells you that you have allergy to the nut, but you don't have allergy to the oil of this nut. Sometimes people react on peanuts, but don't react to oil of the same nut.
Hope it helps you ! |
