I had IPL done for the above the upper lip area. I noticed the broken capilliaries turn darker after IPL. Or is it just hyperpigmentation from the treatment? They used to be reddish but now it's dark/brown. I had some red dots(tiny period size) and they turned to black dots. Is this normal? Will they fade?
Thank you. |

Yes they do fade, but it takes time! I think it is the result of dried up blood in your capillaries. When I had IPL done on my cheeks and around my nose area last spring, it took a couple of months to fade! I guess it depends on how much you had done, I didn't have a very good experience with it and don't intend to get it done again! HTH!! |

I also had the balck dots but they flaked off after a couple of weeks. Also some of the broken "pooling" caps faded but took some time.
Had 3 done so far and I have always had the marks and they have always faded. |

I agree that is normal.
But I found for myself that after it was gone and you are finished with your IPL treatment, it comes back. |
