I'm not a big fan of mousse, as it usually leaves my hair looking dry, but I'm loving Garnier Fructis Curl Control Mousse. It's intended to help with enhancing natural curl by allowing you to scrunch the hair and air dry or diffuse dry, but I've also used it as a pre-curser to blow drying with a round brush and using a curling iron and I must say that it works wonderfully for all techniques. Does not weigh the hair down or leave it looking dry. You can see the curls forming even without styling as the hair begins to dry.

oooh sounds good !! its usually all the alcohol in mouse that dries out my hair too, maybe this is a different formulation? I tried the Fructis deep conditioner before and liked it, too, till my stylist made a face when I told her. no explanation, just a face. hmmmph.

What type of hair do you have?

Fructis shampoo and conditioner always leaves my hair very greasy. I like the sound of the mousse though. If you have greasy hair and it works, I might try it...

LOTS and LOTS of fine strands. It has a natural wave unless I blow it with a round brush. Takes to curl easily. My scalp (when I'm not highlighting) does get oily by the evening when washed early in the morning.

I just wanted to add to the rave. I usually use the Garnier Curling Cream and it works great, but if I use a little too much I end up with a sticky mess. I recently tried the mousse and loved it. It even held up through the next day. With my super curly and frizz prone hair, that was amazing.
Vanity 1- As a hair dresser myself, I can tell you the only reason that your stylist gave you a look when you mentioned Garnier is because it won't be putting a commission in her pocket. They almost never recommend drugstore products.

I tried the Garnier soft curl cream and it's too heavy for my hair. I have to wash it the next day.

Here's my 2 cents' worth: I've been using the Garnier Fructis Curl Control Mousse for about two months, and I love it!! Very Happy I apply to my hair while it's still wet, wrap in a towell for a few minutes, then scrunch-dry with a heat-diffusing attachment for nicely defined curls.

I too have very fine hair which gets oily quite quickly, so I find a lot of products too heavy. But this mousse is so light!! And it doesn't give my hair that 'wet' look either. It's better (and lighter) than the Pantene mousse for curly hair, IMHO.

Cheers! Smile
