Hello, I need some great gift ideas for Christmas. I've been dating this guy for about 2 months but we're not really officially together or committed to each other yet, if you get what I mean Anyway, I don't want to get something too expensive since we've known each other for such a short time. My budget is within $40-60....I want something that will make him happy or put a smile on his face...haha...u know, something that's not too common or the usual stuff that everyone gets. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thank you! I only have a week left! |

What does he shave with? Crabtree and Evelyn has some wonderful shave balms, lotions, and kits. Do you have access to C&E? |

when we first started dating......honestly, I can't remember...it's been 4 years!
I've always wanted to do a couples massage. If he'd be open to that it's a good one.
Tell us more about what type of guy he is? sporty, computer guy, what? |

When I first started dating my boyfriend his birthday came about a month later. I got him a book -- I guess I'm not that romantic! Maybe a CD or homemade cookies too! |

There are some interesting voice training computer software that sounds interesting. I just started looking into it but it basically
evaluates your approach to a song and shows you whether to go slightly higher or lower automatically adjusting to your key and then telling you what is your best range.
A slightly sexy/raunchy joke book is "bad dog". |

I would get him a nice card with a gift certificate inside so he can buy what he needs or wants. Most guys love tools so maybe a gift card from a hardware store or something would be nice. My husband is so hard to buy for too, even after being with him for over 4 years! |

I like lianne's suggestion of a couple's massage, or maybe one for him if that works better for you budget. Throughout our 2 year courtship and 22 years of marriage, I've given my husband a wide variety of gifts....clothes, power tools, books, custom-made monogrammed dress shirts, golf clubs, watches, fishing equipment etc. The one's that he enjoys the most, and are the most memorable are the sexy lingerie (for me) but wrapped up for him, sexy coupon books--you can buy them, but I make mine--and special, nicely framed photos of the whole family for his office. We still exchange the boring, practical stuff, but still try to out-do each other on the fun, romantic, sentimental, silly stuff. Plus, other than the lingerie, which varies widely in price, most of those cost very little. The most unusual gift I bought my husband was a pet lizard...before we were married. What was I thinking???
Have fun, and be creative! |

How about getting tickets and taking him to a concert, play or sporting event? Does he like wine? You could alway make him an elegant dinner (if you like to cook) and give him a bottle of his favorite wine. Any of the above he would never forget and it is time spent together.
My husband has been doing everything for me for the past two months as I refractured my ankle. I am not a football fan but got two tickets to the New England Patriots. I couldn't think of anything that would delight him more. |

i bought my boy a digital alarm clock, as his was a ticking travel clock (i'm the crazy chick who can hear a swatch watch ticking from 10feet away).
i also got him an electric citrus juicer because he loves orange juice, and he once brought over juiced clemintines (it was close to christmas) that he put through a juicer (the kind for apples & carrots) for a group brunch i hosted. it was the most horrifically bitter juice i've ever had...he evidently didn't get rid of all of the pith & membrane before buzzing everything through.
i know i've enjoyed these presents i've given him...no rude ticking or bitter citrus juice!
we celebrated christmas together after having been a couple for only 3 weeks...buying something after 2 months should be a piece of cake! |

when kiwiboy and i first got together it was 2 weeks to christmas and 3 weeks to his birthday! how stressful!
i ended up getting him a cute little toilet bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, moisturiser, lip balm, that kind of thing that he could leave at my place and use when he stayed over, he thought it was so sweet!
kind of a present without being too much pressure.
