Here is a comparison on these three products:

JB C&C has the best texture, it is gel like and spreads very well. Well absorbed fast but it is also the least effective one IMO.

Vivier 10% feels more oily and the face (right after application) would look like an oil tank but after about 10mins it is completely soak in and leave no residual film on the face. I prefer how Vivier makes the skin feels after application.

IS Clinical 15% has the highest % of them three. I think it is most effective also. THe texture is between JB C&C and Vivier. But,this serum would leave a film on the face, even after 20 mins. It also created some white flakes when I apply certain sunblocks after it.

When I finally finish my IS Clinical bottle then I will move on to try Cellex-C 17.5%...

Wildcat...

I was just wondering what you were hoping to address with the Vitamin C serum? I'm asking because sometimes, we aren't happy with the "results" of a product, but then find that it's because the product wasn't intended to address the particular issue we're seeking to address.....

katee,
I use C-serum to improve the tone of my skin. I am using it to get that glow. Also, for its antioxident properties. I have some old acne discoloration and some brown spots and I think C-serum helps with that too. I don't have winkles yet so I can't comment on that.

i've just started using the PSF emergen-c serum (as least i think it's called that). well after 3 days i'm really quite impressed!
the texture is sort of like very light oil/gel; it's not thick and spreads really easily but has a very slight oily or glycerine-y texture.
i used it in the morning for the first 2 days but found it too moisturising when combined with my normal moisturiser so i used it last night instead and have a lovely glow this morning without feeling as though i am going to be an oil slick by midday!
i've found that it has made my skin much smoother and seems to have reduced the size of some of my pores too (although i'm not sure that's possible actually). i'm not sure about the skin discolouration as I've only used it for 3 days but so far i am very happy.
i'd also like to put in a quick plug for PSF, their customer service was amazing and i got my parcel (plus 3 little pots of testers) in about 5 days which is pretty amazing given I live in new Zealand!

anyway, i've got on the vit-c bandwagon and am very very pleased!

I have been using vivier c & e for about 2 weeks, before that I used psf 12%. I ordered the psf 20% for my mom and also tried it last night, I think this new formulation is not quite as sticky as the last. I had great results with 12% and I am ordering the 20% when I get paid tomorrow I just think the results were much better than the vivier for me. I wanted to get vivier 20% but eds does not carry it anymore so I figured I would try the c & e but now I'm missing the psf Crying or Very sad. I also agree about the service they are wonderful.

My boyfriend has got me some of this (20% strength) for Christmas. I can't wait to try it after reading your review.
I was using Vivier 10% and loved it but I feel ready for something stronger now. Very Happy

Hi there

I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with customs on packages from psfskincare coming into the UK? I just placed an order with them for the first time (I've finished my relaxaline, so wanted to try their Browtox next to compare the two), and asked for the package to be shipped as a gift, but got the following message:

"Unfortunately we are bound my international trade law when it comes to tariffs and customs. We are required to declare the value of the goods contained within the orders we ship. Especially with the current state of terrorism awareness, we are finding that more and more packages are being opened and/or investigated. Though we understand the monetary incentive of marking goods sold as gifts on customs declarations, it is a violation of domestic, foreign, and international law. We at Pure Skin Formulations hope that after using our products you will see they are still an extremely good value for their high quality. We hope we will be able to continue to serve your beauty needs in the future."

Fair enough, but it would have been nice if they had put this on their website so I could have thought about it before purchasing! What have your experiences been with their customer service? Wondering if I can still cancel?

this seems to be becoming more common, i remember someone somewhere else talking about getting a message about this too. can't talk about my experience of it though, i've never heard of a parcel being stopped on it's way into NZ *touch wood*...

I think it's a global conspiracy to stop me from shopping Crying or Very sad. Must ask DH if he knows anything about it....

Although to be honest, it won't actually stop me, it's just nice to know in advance so you can factor any likely charges in when you buy. Then if the package sneaks through it's a bonus! You're lucky with NZ customs then, the UK guys are much meaner.

I started using the Cellex-C 15% about a month ago and am really liking it. As I said in another post, I had someone tell me how lovely my skin looked and new I had to have changed cosmetic routine.

I really like the "tonic" texture of the cellex-c and am not even bothered by having to apply the Vit. B serum on top (which also goes on lovely).

I have tried a sample of the Obagi 15% (which I believe is just like the vivier) and I quite like that but think it would be more for my liking in the dry winter months. With the Cellex-C I can really see myself using that through summer because of the super light texture.

That's so sweet of you to offer Chrissie, how very thoughtful! I actually just got my delivery a few days ago (after having to trek to the post office and pay silly amounts of money in customs duties in order to liberate it Sad ). I have to say that the person at PSF who answered my query was extremely helpful, and immediately offered to give me a refund if I decided to cancel my order rather than risk the charges so it was totally my choice in the end. In fact, along with the fact that I really wanted to try the products, it was partly such prompt and obliging service that made up my mind to go ahead.

I got the Browtox, and some of the 20% vitamin C serum. The Browtox seems very similar in texture and effect to Relaxaline. The vitamin C serum is very moisturising (I have just finished a bottle of Skinceuticals 20%C, which was a lot more "watery" in texture), and a tiny bit goes a long way. I think this will be great for winter although I might have to switch back in the summmer as I have combination skin and this may be too moisturising in warmer weather. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how these work out for me over the next few months!
