Just wanted to let y'all know that the Lumene cosmetic/skincare line available exclusively at CVS pharmacies has just come out with two new products claiming “the power of nature meets the science of beauty. I’m guessing the product that will garner the most attention from you guys will be the eye serum...here’s their spiel:
Lumene combines advanced technology with the power of nature to give you truly amazing results. Lumene captures the power of natural Arctic berries and plants and puts them to work in advanced skin care solutions. Dermatological testing proves Lumene products contain the most effective natural ingredients to let your own natural radiance shine through.
Vitamin + Radiant C-Energy
Age Defying Intensive Cream
--------------------------------------
Wild Arctic cloudberry and a continuous release of vitamin C moisturize skin, boost collagen production and provide you with the best defence against the signs of aging. Your skin becomes instantly more radiant, energized and fresh.
» 85% of women saw firmer and smoother skin*
Vitamin + Radiant C-Energy
Intensive Renewing Eye Serum
----------------------------------------
You’ll see a reduction in dark under eye circles in just 4 weeks* with regular use of the first eye serum roll-on applicator combining wild Arctic cloudberry and vitamin C power.
» 74% of women saw a reduction in dark under eye circles.*
*Consumer tests: effect of the product tested by an impartial cosmetics laboratory. Products not tested on animals.
Lest you have forgotten, Lumene is the line that brought us the dead-ringer of Urban Decay’s “Primer Potion” eye makeup base that costs around six bucks less than the real thing, so I’m thinking that these new products should be affordable as well....
Please note that I have *not* tried these products so this is not an endorsement -- I'm merely disseminating information! |

It's taking everything I have not to jump in my car and go to CVS...I'm just minutes away from three of their stores! I'd really love to try the eye serum for my dark circles, but I promised myself I'd use up what I have before I make another purchase Unless---it's on sale Then I'd be foolish not take advantage, right?! Off to check this weeks circular! |

Has anyone on the board tried this product yet? I'm seriously checking the circular in Sunday's paper for a sale!

Also...checked reviews on MUA..there were only two for the eye serum and both were very positive---that's good 'nuf for me Will probably get it tomorrow and post results in a couple of weeks..keeping fingers crossed! |

FYI:
I stopped by one of my local CVS stores this morning to stock up on Ardell lash stuff and while I was there I decided to price these new Lumene Vit-C/arctic berries products and saw that they cost $14.99USD apiece.
Furthermore, they were selling sample 15ml (.50 oz) mini-jars of the Age-Defying Intensive Cream for $1.99USD apiece, so I picked up a few samples. I looked to see if they also had samples of the eye circles stuff but they were either sold out of it or they don’t offer sample sizes of it.
Anyway, the bottom line is that if this stuff turns out to give fabulous results, think how much money you’d be saving by using this rather than the pricey serums and how you’d be able to spend the money you saved on other frivolous items!
ETA: For the record, the eye serum only has two reviews on MUA, but both are positive: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemID=63112/Intensive_Renewing_Eye_Serum/Lumene/Treatments_(Eye)/ |

Two days ago I took advantage of the CVS coupon for LUMENE LIFTING SKIN SUPPORTER DAY
Firming Day Cream/ and LUMENE LIFTING SKIN SUPPORTER NIGHT. They each retailed for 17.99. With the coupon I got one FREE. I decided to purchase this as my skin has been somewhat dry lately.
The night cream is heavy but it sinks in quickly. The texture of the day cream is very light. After two days I can't do a review on the products (will report back in a few weeks).
For several months I have been using the Eye Makeup base .... love it! Very rarely do I wear makeup but when I do it keeps my shadow and liner put all day. I also very much like LUMENE CLEANSING DREAM MIST Hydrating Water Spray. I was a big fan of the mist during the summer. It is refreshing and a great price. |

If any body is interested in trying Lumene, CVS is having a sale on Lumene Skin Care. Buy one get the 2nd one 50% off. Sale will be ended on Jan 14th. Their system was not setup correctly so no discount will be taking off at the register but tell them their flyer said so (they should have copies at the store). And remember on all skin care products. I was told their newest 50+ (Premium Beauty) line should not be on sale but I told the manager their ad said "all skin care products" and he honor the price. |

I've been using the eye serum off and on for over a month now...usually under my eye cream, twice a day, when I remember to use it At first, I didn't think it really did much, but when I don't use it, I notice by the end of the day, my undereye area doesn't look as bright. One morning, in particular, I awoke with alot of puffiness and darkness around just one eye--looked like I was assaulted in my sleep . I applied the serum and gently patted it in and was amazed at how well it worked...really!!! For that reason alone, I will always keep a bottle handy. It didn't cause any milia, no irration, helped brighten undereye area(but I still use another eyecream and concealer...I'm dealing with dark hereditary circles here)the price is right and you only need to use a little so the bottle lasts a long time(mine is still about 3/4 full). The only downside was that, for me, it wasn't moisturizing enough to wear alone (I'm 43 btw). I have no problem recommending this, just be aware that everyone's skin reacts differently. Some eye products I've used that others have recommended but didn't work for me are : ReVive, LaPrairie, Eye Bright (I actually woke up with swollen eyes from this one ) PTR PowerK, Fresh, REN, Payot..the list goes on and on.... Hth, and thanks, once again, to carekate for bringing this product to our attention |

I got this thanks to Carrie but unfortunately I haven't been dilligent enough with it yet to report on anything. I have used it a few times just before going to bed. I can report that it's nicely refreshing when you're heading to bed at 3am after staring for hours into your laptop monitor though I have it on my bedside shelf and use it when I remember. |
