Whilst I was deliberating the Flash Beauty Balm, the Lotus Oil also caught me eye
I have heard some good things about this one and whilst I like the Decleor Neroli, the Clarins does seem better value....I also have Boots Vouchers
So what experiences has everyone had with the Lotus Oil?
I would be using it at night time, a night oil really does agree with my skin this time of the year |

I did have a sample of the Lotus oil once. I tried it out for a couple of weeks but not really long enough to give you any proper feedback.
I didn't suffer any adverse effects from it but neither did I notice any wonderful results on my skin and so I didn't bother purchasing the full size.
Try and get a sample of it first before you commit yourself to the full size. |

Hi Rosebud,
I haven't used the Lotus oil recently but I did use it for an extended period of time in my early twenties when I was going through a rough break-out period. It did a great job of normalizing my (what was) broken out skin. If you've got some oiliness then it really is gorgeous as a night treatment...if your skin has any dry tendencies then stay away - this is one dry oil that really (IMHO) is suited for a combination to oily skin.
Good luck!

hi,
i dont use the lotus oil but i do use the orchid bleu oil. I love it. I know it is scarry to put oils onto your face. I am prone to break outs but have never broken out from using it. have been using it for 4 years now. helps keep my skin soft and full of moisture.
I think the lotus oil is for oily skin. i think you should go get some samples to try it. Ask for a couple good samples so you can really get a feel for it. I have heard it really works. oil is one of the most natural things you can put on your face. |

I've been using Lotus Oil. It's probably the only Clarins product I liked and I tried almost every one of their products. I absolutely love the oil - love absolutely everything about it - smell, feel, results. Definitely something I will repurchase. |

Hey Rosebud ,
I used this for about a year and, while it helped my skin, I have found that I like the Decleor oil better for oil control and skin clarity (I make a homemade version which is very economical). I wish I could provide you with a more difinitive answer but all I can say is that I would get a sample or buy it and try it. I don't know if they do this in the U.K.; but here in the U.S. if a Clarins product doesn't work out you can take it back for a refund. |

I have started to use Jojoba Oil at night now and my skin has really took to it, so I will try and get a sample of the Clarins so I can say I've tried it, but I think I may stick with the Jojoba for now. Thankyou everyone for your replys ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

rosebud,
I've been tempted to use jojoba as a moisturizer at night but was worried it might be too heavy.
How much do you apply and what kind of difference did you notice in your skin? |

With the winter weather and central heating, my skin was becoming quite tight after I had ceansed and toned in the evenings, the Jojoba has really helped.
I only put on the tiniest amount, then if I feel I need more I add some more. I don't find Jojoba heavy at all, it seems to cancel out any oiliness I may have during the night. |
