Ladies! I'm so excited! It totally feels like I have spent my whole adult life looking for a good nude lipstick. The frustrating thing is, no matter how good they look in the tube, they are either too pink, too orange (ugh, what a nightmare!), or worst of all, too pale. (I'm a pale lady with brown hair, so pale opaque lipstick makes me look like an extra from Night of the Living Dead.) Anyway, to make a long story short I was at the Lancome counter the other day, and the lady suggested I try Juicy Rouge in Caramel. Now, in the tube it looked straight brown, and so I was really skeptical, but I humored her, and voila, the PERFECT nude shade! It really made my whole face just glow. Not only is the color perfect, but the lipstick itself is just ideal. It's long-wearing, just glossy enough, and has subtle gold shimmer which I swear makes my lips look fuller than when I use lip venom. So, if you've been flushing money down the drain like I have looking for that elusive all-purpose nude, this just might be the ticket for you too. One word of warning---Lancome is notorious for switching up their shades, so I have no idea how long this one will be around--- guess I'll have to stock up!^-^ |

I'm glad you found your favorite. Mine is the Boots Botanics lip gloss in Star Anise. Not only is it my perfect nude gloss, but it's also a perfect texture for me. It's more like a creamy lipstick than a gloss, extremely smooth and no stickiness at all. |

Wow, it sounds amazing! Do you know if it's sold in the US? |

Are Lancome lipsticks scented and do they have a taste? I can't stand scented lipsticks.
I'm looking for another Holy Grail of nude lippies now that my fave Molton Brown Nearly Nude is being discontinued... why do they discontinue the most popular items?!! |

I wonder if that Lancome gloss in caramel would look good on me too...I am fair with blond hair and bluish-gray eyes. I love gloss, so much more so than lipstick. |

Hi! Sarahb- lancome lipsticks are slightly scented, but completely tasteless which is definitely good for me.
ErinChristine- I think there's a very good chance that it would look good on you too. I also have blue-grey eyes, and it really brings their color out.
Hope this helps! |

Actually it is sold in the US. Target has been carrying this line for sometime now. And the gloss is only around $4 too! They have only about 6 colors and this is the only one that I really love, but others get good reviews on MUA too. |

Boots Botanics sold in the US? I thought it was their own brand and Boots is a UK company. Well you learn something new every day. |

I love Burt's Bees lipshimmers!!!
Unfortunatley I can't wear nude shades, Tesco Barbara Daly do some really good nude lipstick shades. |

Yep! They actually have an entire section for Boots products (not just Botanics)at Target. Well, the ones in the Dallas area anyway. |
