Hi all,

So I went ahead and purchased the Darphin menthol cleansing creme . . . and unfortunately Mabsy, I think you'll have to add this to your must buys eehehehehe.

BUT I have to qualify this first. The Darphin menthol cleansing milk is very creamy. I would compare it to the Creme Cleanser by Yonka (Lait Nettoyant I think they call it). It leaves sort of a "film" on your skin -- very milky and creamy. BUT it's very very minty! It's a lot like Dermalogica's Dermal Clay Cleanser except the dermal clay cleanser feels more drying . . . it hasn't dried out my skin (yet) but I know it's possible if I use it frequently. The Darphin cleanser seems gentler -- but still with that really minty and cool after feel -- and it's a DIFFERENT tingle than the dermal clay cleanser. I can't say HOW it's different -- but it's just that similar refreshing feeling that you get with minty cleansers.

Anyway, I've only used it a couple of times so I may change my mind (for better or worse) once I use it more often -- but definitely a great minty cleanser. I like it a lot! DOH! Now I've got so many cleansers to switch between -- Dermalogica, Yonka, Proactiv, Darphin!

LOL! Oh Lisa, what am I going to do with you!? You just keep putting items on my must-try list!

You had me at "hello"... um sorry wrong movie.... you had me at "it's a DIFFERENT tingle" Smile I'll look into trying this after Xmas, no time to go shopping at the moment I'm afraid. I'll have to figure out where I can get a sample of it in Brissy.

Say, I wonder if EDS will carry this line in the future? *hint hint nudge nudge* Cool

Mabsy.

Hey Lisa and Mabsy Wink

So you decided to give in and sell your soul to the devil, not literally of course. :P I'm just talking about giving in to impulsiveness which I have been SOOO guilty of lately!

Yeah, that Darphin cleanser is very refreshing and tingly! Interestingly enough I don't find the Yonka creme cleanser to be minty at all--which is fine for me as I don't have a mint fetish. :P

I don't know if EDS would carry this line, as I believe Caspers Mum said it was owned by Lauder.

Hey there!

Thoughtcrime -- the Yonka Creme Cleanser isn't supposed to be minty (unless you're using the sensitive cleanser -- that has a bit of peppermint but it's still not minty as I would like it to be). I was comparing the Creme Cleanser to the Darphin cleanser in terms of texture (creamy instead of gel-y).

Actually, the milky texture of the Darphin cleanser isn't as milky as I thought. It's milky and creamy when you apply it on your face but it washes off completely clean (unlike the Yonka Lait Nettoyant). It washes off clean and leaves your skin clean and (for you Mabsy) MINTY. And it definitely doesn't dry out your skin like the Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser. Your face will sometimes feel tight about the Dermal Clay Cleanser -- but not so much with Darphin. Like I said, it's a different minty-ness -- but still cool and tingly!
