I had a baby 7 months ago now. and my weight jumps up and down 5 pounds in one day. I am back to my normal weight but my face and body are real puffy. everyone says it sounds like water retention. Any suggestions on how to help this problem would be great. thanks |

oh oh.. go to an asian store and find Persimmon Tea (made from the leaf) it will make you pee something fierce. It tastes great and you can reuse the leaves to make a later cup (different properties come out as you reuse it). It is also full of Vitamin C
In Japan it is called "kaki cha" (which means persimmon tea ) |

Cut down on salt, sugar and white flour and paradoxically drink lots of
water. |

I agree with drinking lots of water. The main reason your body retains water is because it's not getting enough, so it "holds" it for use. |

thank you for your responses.
I will try the persimmon tea if i can find some.
I find it real hard to drink water. i really dislike the taste of it. My boyfriend says i am crazy for it has no taste but it really does to me. |

^ there are many ppl out there who dislike the taste of water lol. But you must remember to drink LOTS of water. If you dislike the taste of water you can squeeze in fresh lemon for taste or use certain sweeteners to enhance the flavor. |

reduce salt intake, weight loss, and see if you may need to get some blood work done to rule out any other problems that may be causing it. |

are you on birth control now by any chance?
Birth control pills cause water retention to many women. I was on Allesse before and i went from 115 lbs to 130 lbs in a matter of weeks because of water retention. Once i went off the pill i lost all the weight immediately. Now im using Yasmine birth control pills and they have not caused any weight gain and suprisingly caused a bit of weight loss |

DITTO DITTO DITTO with Allesse. I had almost an identical experience, with rapid cellulite formation to boot. I've finally tackled the cellulite after about 6 months. Allesse was TOXIC for me. |

I am not on any birth control pills. while pregnant i gained so much water weight but thought i lost it all after birth. but I think my body now holds onto water because my body is still not back to normal.
I am having other problems with my uterus/bleeding between periods and pain. So depending on my results from my ultrasound they wanted to try putting me on birth control which I have been on in the past which messed my whole body up and took months to be back to normal. I also have endometriosis.
so right now i just dont know what is going on with my body. I dont have any females to talk to about my problems. I have no idea what i should do.
so i have assumed my body is retaining water. I have uva ursi pills, so far not doing anything |
