Murad Skin Soothing Lip Repair Therapy
This is the BEST lip balm I have ever used. I bought it for my husband, who because he works outdoors often suffers from very dry, and then severely cracked lips. He is the type of person who lets his lips get so cracked until they are bleeding before he does anything about it! (True!) Anyway, he was reluctant to use the balm at first, but he loves it too. It exfoliates the lips, and seems to remove dead skin cells which helps in the healing of his lips. Plus it leaves your lips nice and soft, but not shiny like lip gloss.
Great price; I would buy this again and recommend to ...... read more about on our Forum
Any Murad Fans?
Murad was recommended to me too the last time I had a facial ... funny thing was, I don't usually break out now as much as I did in high school, but was very stressed at the time (I just finished writing a big exam, so I decided it was time for a facial) and had broken out quite a bit. I did end up buying some products from EDS afterwards ...
Murad Clarifying Skin Cleanser
Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion, ACNE
Murad Moisturizing Acne Treatment Gel
I found all the products to be really strong on my face. The cleanser I only use now from time to time ... I like the tingly feeling it gives, but I have to wash it off almost instantly.
I was never crazing about the lotion - the area around my nose (my sensitive zone) got really dry after a few weeks of use.
The Acne Gel - wasn't bad. I still use it from time to time. The esthetician also recommended Laboratoire Dr Renaud Intervention Fluid Base - which is an oil-free moisterizer. I found it was quite nice ... except that it was a little too light for November (due to the cold). Now that I think of it, I should take it out and give it a try on a hotter day.
(note - I have sensitive ...... read more about on our Forum
Any Murad Fans?
I'm 41 years old, had acne as a teen but didn't start breaking out again until I stopped taking BCP about 6 years ago. Over the last 10 years I've tried Murad, drugstore brands and ProActive and finally came back to Murad the last year and I'm staying!
I can honestly say after using this, my skin is much better! Still oily, but no blackheads and the occassional zit are all I have to deal with. I tell myself that at Least I don't have as many wrinkles as I could...
Products used in the AM
Clarifying Cleanser
AHA Exfoliating scrub
Clarifying Toner
Switch between Acne Exfoliating Treatment Gel and Acne Moisturizing Treatment Lotion
Skin Perfecting Lotion
SPF 15 sunscreen
In the PM, I use Pomegranate cleanser to wash off the makeup, Clarifying Toner and Night REform Treatment.
I always use Essential C eyecream in the AM and PM.
Results are good except the only thing I don't like about Murad is it leaves my face so ...... read more about on our Forum
DDF and Murad sulfur zit creams
Thanks to EDS and the wonderful gift certificate I won from them, I got to try DDF Benzoyl Peroxide/Sulfur acne cream (10%BP, 3% sulfur)as well as Murad Acne Spot Treatment (3% sulfur, no BP). Love them both. They both are a little gritty in texture and a tiny bit stinky because of the sulfur but they did a great job on the 2 zits I had when I first used them. I used the DDF in a thin layer on my problem area (around the mouth) and then rubbed in the Murad into the zit. Overnight the zits were dried out, almost from the inside out, it was kinda freaky actually! I just had to exfoliate the dead skin off the top and it looked a million times better in one day. I probably won't use the DDF every day since it did dry out my skin very quickly but will use both as spot treatments because they seem to be excellent for that.
