I don't think she's had surgery, but her look is unique to me. I wouldn't say its very feminine but I do think her face is quite artisticly shapped but I think she's done it via using topicals and exercises alone. I've a friend who bought the new dvd when it came out and followed a tip in her newsletter and she now has these beautiful ful lips that are remarkable and she's only done that exercise and followed the tips in the newsletter but a friend of hers who she ran into said she thought she had the best lip fillers ever. She hadn't so I figure its worth throwing this out there. I do think Carole Maggio is doing more for facial exercises than anyone else I've seen so far in the tv appearances etc. |

Oh come on Sean, hormones can do a lot for a woman but they don't do bioidentical facelifts or fillers. |

Well that would be a start, but I mean seriously just like Hollywood treats its stars, when someone like Demi Moore (for example) is accused of plastic surgeons they go to the top surgeons who analysis and critic their faces to work out what if any procedures they have had done.
I just think there isn't any real proof here that Carole has had surgery, and thats the point I was making. Sure some might think that she has, but there is a difference between saying I think she's had something done because a, b, c etc rather than she's had surgery.

Real proof as in what? A signed statement from her surgeon? |

I'd love to hear from someone who is in their 60's and has been doing face exercises for sometime, really wouldn't have to be 20 years, but long enough to know if they work long term. I'd also prefer this someone not have a dog in the fight, not sell a program or teach (nothing against anyone who does at all). That way I could judge if they are worth the time or if were being sold a bunch of smoke and mirrors and programs by ladies with a bunch of surgeries under their belts. |
Hi Tiny - I've been using Carole's program for 15 years and I can unequivocally say that the exercises work. While I agree with Keliu and others that they cannot stop father time ... i.e.,won't ward off wrinkles, collagen or fat loss in the face, they do help to keep things up. At 56, I don't have any sag. I do have fine lines and some wrinkling as well as collagen and fat loss, however to me things would be a lot worse if I didn't do the exercises. Building facial muscles compensates for fat loss and definitely tones and lifts the skin. Of course, things could always be better. So I wouldn't rule out some kind of procedure like non-invasive laser to reduce the lines, but I am definitely glad I started when I did. For what it's worth, I think Carole looks very good for her age. Her eyes are very pretty and wide open. I don't agree about her lips looking fake because I know her tricks and can tell that she lines them and fills them in with lipstick and gloss to make them appear a lot fuller. That said, the exercises really do work and can make the lips appear fuller. The lip lift exercise can also make a dramatic difference in the way the mouth looks by turning the corners up...which is definitely a more youthful look. I have seen many different photos of Carole on the internet. In some photos she looks line free and in others her skin isn't so perfect. I've also seen photos of other women (who aren't promoting facial exercises) who look really young in one photo and appear a lot older in another photo taken months apart. Hell, I've seen photos of myself where I look a lot younger in one photo than another taken close together. Different things like lighting, angles and even water intake, sleep, etc., affect they way we look and photograph. So it's my feeling that photos can only reveal so much. That said, I just don't believe she's had anything done. But as for facial exercise.... Not everyone will have the same results with one particular program and not every program is for every person. But generally speaking, everyone should be able to achieve results and improve their appearance somewhat by toning their facial muscles. The key to success with facial exercise, as with any exercise program, is finding something you like and most importantly - sticking with it. ~ Aprile |

Don’t get me wrong I’m all for facial exercises, but there is only so much they can do and as you age you need more help. So I’ve no problem if the people teaching and selling these things are completely upfront about it hell if anything it makes it refreshing that they are so, but what annoys me most is when people are saying their product can achieve these results when in reality it is never going to do that. I don’t know if she has or hasn’t had plastic surgery but to me her face does show major changes. Initially I thought it was makeup but on looking at youtube I see there are definite places that have changed more so and I don’t believe any amount of puff puff blow is going to give us all build in those areas.
Likewise with programs, and this goes for every program out there…. I think it is really insulting when they label exercises like Nose Shortener or Lip Lift or even Cheek Raiser without any real proof. I mean where is the trading standards on these things? If these things do work (and for the benefit of doubt I do believe that some of them can) where is the actual evidence that it does. For example someone else raised about Nose Shortener which is a Facercise exercise – well if it does shortener the nose, wouldn’t proof make it more popular as a result not less? I mean you could measure the nose shortening. Same thing with the cheeks (aka FlexEffect’s Cheek Raiser). If it raises the cheeks where the actual proof showing us that something has raised, rather than a standalone photo of someone with an unexpressionate face and then a face smiling – that fills out anyones faces.
Aprile you say they can’t stop father time or ward of wrinkles, collagen or fat loss in the face but I am sure Carole says in her book that facial exercises do ward of both wrinkles and stimulate collagen production. Likewise Deb Crowley says about elastin and collagen production too. Doesn’t that make what they are saying factually incorrect if the exercises can’t do that. I’ve done exercises for over 10 years, and believe them to be beneficial but can’t help it at times when I do wonder if it’s a bit like the emperors new clothes. They’ve been around for long enough I don’t get why there isn’t anything substantial study wise behind them as yet.
Just thinking aloud here. Didn’t mean to change this thread topic completely but I do think its connected.
Foxglove, that’s great you are sharing your results, but I’m curious if you have photos to show the changes your lips have. I’ve asked this before of Sister who swore by Carole’s lip exercises too (and still not seen them). |

Those pictures of sandooch's lips are great! I, too, don't see how they can be denied. Besides being convincing pics, why would a long-term member like sandooch lie about it? No gain to be had there...not like she was selling anything.
I hope maybe she's reading this thread because I like the sound of her lip push-ups but wonder if they promote monkey mouth over the long term? |
