I need to seriously stop reading these threads! You ladies inspired me to go out and buy a hardwax kit from Sally's as mountaingirl suggested, (although I forgot the part of her advice about the beeswax and bought a brazilian kit). I have to say I had never been in a Sally's before I could have spent all day and hundreds of dollars in there. I signed up for a frequent buyer card because I will be back!!!
My plan was to start on my legs to hone my technique before I attempted the bikini area.
This was nothing but an exercise in futility; unless you consider having hardwax permanently implanted under my finger nails.
I used over half the pot of wax on just the front of my shins and removed less than half the hair. I tried to apply the wax thick, thin, medium with the same terrible results.
Any advice would be appreciate.... |
Try NADS....seriously, this stuff is so easy to use. It's like waxing without the heat. I think a tub is something like $20. I only use it in the bikini area so it last for months. No need to heat, just dip the wand, smooth a thin layer in the area, lay the cloth on top, rub for a few seconds then pull off. Then you have the NADS on the cloth so I will then press the cloth on my legs over and over until it won't pick up any more hair. Then I just shave my legs after to get any hair I missed. One thing though...I find I use the tub for so long that eventually the NADS starts to harden in the tub so I just stick in the microwave for a few seconds and it thins right out again. |
