You can get enough Vit. D by being in the sun if enough skin without sunscreen is exposed.
It doesn't even take that long....somewhere around 10-20 min. I think. |

And how much time you need to spend out in the sun depends on your skin color, time of year, time of day, and latitude. It can range anywhere from 2 minutes - 90 minutes, so there's no one size fits all. Dr. Holick has sun tables in his book "The UV Advantage" that describe how much time you need to spend in the sun based on those factors. HTH  |

The problem is most people either don't take the time to do as you said, or they bake out in the sun all the time! I do take a D3 supplement along with Calcium and Magnesium. |
I take the same DM but in the summer when I spend time outdoors in shorts & T-shirt I skip the Vit.D. |
